2020年，是中国军队参加联合国维和行动30周年，也是习近平主席在联合国维和峰会发表重要讲话五周年。为展现中国军队服务构建人类命运共同体作出的巨大贡献，展示维和官兵的良好形象和青春风采，湖南广播电视台新闻中心推出了5集军事题材新闻专题片《为和平而来》，讲述维和官兵的故事。
节目于9月8日-12日每天18:00在湖南卫视首播，芒果TV同步播出，并于美东时间9月8日-9月12日18:30、欧洲伦敦时间9月9日-9月13日19:00、非洲开普敦时间9月9日-9月13日20:00登陆湖南国际频道，每集时长29分钟。
他们是医护人员，他们也是中国军人。从2003年开始，中国先后向刚果（金）、利比里亚、苏丹、黎巴嫩、南苏丹和马里等任务区派出维和医疗分队。在最危险的任务区马里，惨烈的恐怖袭击后，中国第7批赴马里维和部队医疗分队需要深入爆炸地点紧急运送友军伤员。在埃博拉和疟疾疫情肆虐的刚果（金），第22批赴刚果（金）维和医疗分队坚守岗位，为当地民众提供人道主义医疗援助。《为和平而来》第四集，见证中国维和医疗官兵救死扶伤的大爱仁心。
They are medics and Chinese military personnel as well. Since 2003, China has consecutively dispatched peacekeeping medical contingents to Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, Sudan, Lebanon, South Sudan and Mali. In Mali, the most dangerous UN mission area, after brutal terrorist attacks, the 7th Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent had to approach the blast site, evacuating the wounded of friendly forces. In D.R.Congo where Ebola virus and malaria are still rampant, the 22nd medical contingent held fast to their posts, offering humanitarian medical assistance to the local people. The 4th episode of We are Here for Peace will show the great love and benevolence of the Chinese peacekeeping medics.
在被联合国认定为最危险、最贫瘠的维和任务区马里，一支由63人组成的中国医疗分队建立了一座战区二级医院。
In Mali, the most dangerous and poorest UN mission area evaluated by the UN, a 63-staff Chinese medical contingent established a level-II hospital in Sector East.
在马里加奥地区，武装派别林立，恐怖袭击频发，在当地执行任务的维和人员随时都有被卷入武装袭击的危险。因此，部署在这里的中国医疗队需要随时待命，对伤者进行紧急救助。
Gao of Mali features rampant armed factions and frequent terrorist attacks, so peacekeepers take the risk of facing armed attacks at any time. Therefore, the Chinese medical contingent deployed there has to be on standby to provide emergency assistance to the injured.
截至2020年3月，中国第7批赴马里维和医疗队累计门急诊患者2520人，危重症8例，批量伤员救治4批次，住院患者34人，收治疟疾患者15人，手术49例，骨折脱位手法复位石膏或支具固定50例。空运后送组共执行各类保障任务81次，累计飞行总里程约2.47万公里。在马里这个战乱的国度，这些勇敢的医生们，将会始终站在战地医疗的第一线。
As of March 2020, the 7th Chinese medical contingent to Mali has totally treated 2,520 emergency patients and outpatients, including 8 critical cases, 4 batches of casualty, 34 hospitalized patients, 15 malaria patients, providing 49 surgeries and 50 treatments with fracture dislocation maneuvering plaster or brace fixation. The air evacuation team conducted 81 all-type convoy tasks, with a total flight mileage of about 24,700 kilometers. In war-torn Mali, these gallant doctors will always stand in the very front line of field medical service.
2018年8月，埃博拉病毒在刚果（金）东北地区爆发，所到之处，一条又一条鲜活的生命惨遭吞噬。
In August 2018, the northeast region of DRC witnessed the outbreak of Ebola. The rapid spread led to woeful loss of lives.
中国第22批赴刚果（金）维和部队2018年9月轮换，就部署在刚果（金）东部的南基伍省布卡武市。世界卫生组织已经将中国维和部队驻地所在的南基伍省确定为较高区域性扩散风险地区。
The 22nd Chinese peacekeeping force to DRC arrived in September of 2018, located in Bukavu, South Kivu of east DRC. WHO has identified South Kivu, where Chinese peacekeepers are based, as an area of high regional spread risk.
此次埃博拉疫情是赴刚果（金）维和部队历史上所面临的一次感染人数最多，疫区距离营区最近、规模最大的一次。
The Ebola outbreak at this time features the largest number of infected people and the closest and largest infected area to the camp ever faced by a peacekeeping force to DRC.
医疗小分队还指导友军进行风险评估，开展环境消杀，疑似患者体液分泌物消毒处理，对车辆消毒，对驾乘人员体温测量等，对因出差、施工等任务离开营区一天以上的官兵，返回后都要进行隔离观察。为的是有效切断埃博拉的输入通道。
The medical contingent guides the friendly force on how to assess risks, conduct environmental sanitization and sanitize secretion from suspected patients and vehicles, and take temperature of drivers and passengers. All officers and soldiers who have been away from the camp for more than a day for business trips, construction and other duties should be quarantined and observed upon their return. The purpose is to effectively cut off Ebola import pathway.
善战何须硝烟里，无声沙场亦英雄。自2018年9月起，中国第22批赴刚果（金）维和部队医疗分队，在异国他乡与死神对垒的前沿阵地上，不辱使命，不负重托，为当地民众送去了爱的温暖、点燃生的希望。
Warriors can be matured in not only gun fire but also silent battlefields. Since September 2018, the 22nd Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent to DRC, on the front line against lethal diseases in the alien Land, has done justice to their mission and lived up to the trust. They provide local people with tender care and raise their hope of life.
2019年7月2日，联合国驻刚果（金）稳定特派团南部战区司令赛义德准将为医疗分队颁发了集体和个人嘉奖令，以表彰医疗分队在执行联合国维和任务中作出的突出贡献。
中国维和医疗官兵展示了中国军队和平之师、文明之师的良好形象，也在世界舞台上彰显了一个东方大国的责任担当。
On July 2 of 2019, Brigadier General Said, Commander Sector South of MONUSCO, awarded the medical contingent with a collective and individual commendation in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the UN peacekeeping mission.
Chinese Peacekeeping Medical Contingent presents a positive image of peace-loving and disciplined Chinese military, and demonstrates at the world stage a reponsible oriental major power to the whole world.
